Benefits of walking barefoot
Start with baby steps, just 10 minutes a day!

Do you know how beneficial walking barefoot is?
When we walk barefoot we trigger the acupuncture points in our feet. This, in turn, energizes our body. Walking barefoot on either sand, road and on small rocks stimulates the pressure points.
Our feet’s purpose is to help maintain stability and balance but also they are a shock absorber for your body, thinking back to when we were cavemen and we had no option to wear shoes! Our feet were one of the main tools in survival.
Walking barefoot and reconnecting with the Earth (also known as grounding) means free electrons are taken up into the body. These electrons could be referred to as nature’s biggest antioxidant and help defuse the cause of inflammation, improving or eliminating the symptoms of many inflammation-related disorders.
A few benefits of being barefoot…
- Reducing/ eliminating chronic pain
- Improve sleep and promoting a deeper sleep
- Increase energy
- Lower stress and promote calmness in the body by cooling down the nervous system and stress hormones
- Relieve muscle tension and headaches
- Improve blood pressure and flow
Leonardo Di Vinci said the foot was a marvel of engineering and truly a work of art.
If your life like most people is up in the air and constantly go, go, go! Then give yourself 5/10 minutes to go outside; even if it’s while walking the dog! Slip your shoes off and walk, enjoy the grass between your toes and take a moment to get grounded and connected again.
