Thinking this week about Mental Health, I realised that one of the reasons I train is
because it makes me feel so good. The thought of training is sometimes not so
positive, but once I’m there and once it’s all over…….. I feel great.
I’ve never been one to really think about my mental health as I have always really
loved my life and enjoy it to the full, I am lucky to have a wonderful family, friends
and work place.

But there have been occasions when things do seem to get me down,
and everything is hard work. I find if I get up and do something like walking, a class
or something else, really helps overcome this and change that feeling round!
For example in the class this morning, I didn’t like the way I looked or felt today, but
it was fantastic, to do to the class and see all the ladies/girls of every
shape/size/ability, who always make you feel so very welcome. It amazing how it can
lift your spirit.
Also I feel a real buzz when my body shape changes and my clothes fit. Suddenly I
feel able to do so much more than before and so much happier. Not much else can
make me feel so wonderfully positive – whatever my size.
