Fitness Trends of 2018 so far
1-The ‘WOD’
More commonly known as ‘Workout of the Day’. These tend to include AMRAP(As Many Reps/Rounds As Possible) or EMOMs (Every Minute On The Minute)
2- Mash up cross-training
This involves mixing up your gym workout in order to maximise results. Meaning one week you will do a spin class, the next a Barre class; this helps to maintain interest.
3- HIIT
More commonly known as High Intensity Interval Training. These sessions usually only last 30 minutes and require short bursts of high intensity exercise followed by an active rest period. You then alternate between these exercises for a set time period.
4-Yoga
There are so many styles of Yoga that the trends continuously change but one thing that can be said to have become popular in 2018-Stretching!
We can probably all agree that we don’t stretch enough, but if we want to start seeing better results then stretching and enhancing our mobility is key!
5- Wearable Technology
