On Friday the 18th of October, My fitness Hub hosted a breast cancer awareness day in order to promote our members to regularly check themselves for the signs and symptoms of breast cancer.
#wearitpink
Every year around 55,000 woman are diagnosed in the UK with breast cancer, but did you know that around 370 men were diagnosed last year with breast cancer too.
We’ve had posters around the gym this week to show the best way to be able to check your breasts or pecs and we’re asking that all members check themselves on a regular basis to take note of any changes that occur. Click the link below to refresh yourself on what to look out for. There is a site for both men and woman so make sure you know what to look out for.
As usual our members went above and beyond for the cause, wearing pink, baking, creating, raising funds and just making an amazing vibe throughout the day.
One member in particular, Angie, had the amazing ‘Check your Boobs’ cake commissioned and donated it to be auctioned off with all the proceeds to be donated to cancer charities.
Our Friday night Bounce instructor Sam got in the spirit modelling a light up bra and balloons and all the team sported their pink t-shirts encouraging a lot of our members to join in too.

These kind of events always gets people talking and this event has bought to our attention that several of our members are breast cancer survivors, battling through gruelling treatment and rocking their incredible survival journeys.
This illness effects so many people we care about so we’re encouraging EVERYONE that if you have any concerns about your health, seek help sooner rather than later.
